Morocco and France partner to enhance agricultural skills and knowledge sharing

Morocco and France signed, Friday in Paris, an administrative agreement for cooperation in the field of agricultural technical and vocational training and higher agricultural, veterinary, and forestry education.

The agreement was signed by the Directorate of Education, Training, and Research of the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture and the General Directorate of Education and Research of the French Ministry of Agriculture, during a ceremony chaired by the respective ministers, Mohamed Sadiki and Marc Fesneau. The signing took place on the sidelines of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Paris, held from February 24 to March 3, 2024.

According to a statement by the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture, the agreement aims to develop and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between relevant educational and vocational training institutions. It also seeks to facilitate their relationship with stakeholders in the Moroccan and French agricultural and food industries.

The agreement will enhance and facilitate mutual mobility, strengthen partnerships between institutions, and develop the exchange of experiences in training.

The signing ceremony was preceded by a bilateral meeting between the ministers, where they expressed satisfaction with the quality of French-Moroccan technical cooperation. Discussions focused on food security in the context of climate change, trade relations in the agriculture and food sectors, and prospects for enhancing cooperation in agriculture, forestry, and fishing.
